Empire 25 isn’t that bad anymore afaik the bed bugs aren’t a thing anymore. and the second floor food bar is ALWAYS abandoned so you can get free slushies every time

Empire 25 is overhated tbh. The bedbug thing was fixed like a decade ago, probably has my favorite Dolby in the city, and tbh their prime and xl aren’t too bad either. And the history of the building is really cool.

Cinemart Cinemas in Forest Hills has $8 Tuesdays with free small popcorn which is a great combo with Kew Gardens $5 Wednesday if you wanna see two movies back to back

you should check out Alamo Drafthouse in Staten Island (curated by the Rza). I like the design aspect of it better than the other 2. my mother LOVED it with the martial arts movie posters. There's a few bars/restaurants right next door but the problem is you'll be deep in Staten Island and it will be a pain getting home if it's late.
