My ex LITERALLY had business cards from cops too. It’s their way of thinking that if they ever get in trouble they can say “I’m friends with that cop there” and think they’re protected somehow. Because that’s how deep the narcissism goes. Insane.

My dad used to speak to me the way your ex spoke to you. I would nod in compliance, afraid to speak bc he would say I was manipulating him. I’ve kind of buried that trauma but wow it all came back. Not a bad thing, people still try to keep him in my life unfortunately.

I just want to tell you that you are an inspiration to women like me and you and your story has helped me tremendously and even though my abuser is still tormenting me by taking my child away from me because he is financially isolated me and isolated me from everyone that I know and I can't afford a lawyer so he's using that leverage torment me and this moment but because of you and your story I know that I can get through this and I know that I can be strong and I will get her back so thank you so much
