I think it is better when family doesn't get involved. They get too frustrated and it is all so personal. I think you are more helpful than them giving them kindness and understanding which will help her keep things clean longer.

Helping her with systems. Leave the house ? A bag of garbage goes with. 5 minute pickup before laying down each night - everyone participates in the chores. Laundry sorter and a load happens every other day, if not folded and put away same day, it’s done in the middle day etc
