@motherhoodbyrosie: parents of calm toddlers do these 5 things 1. don’t rush to solve every problem. they give their toddlers a chance to figure things out first, even if it takes a little longer and comes with a few big feelings. 2. keep routines simple and predictable. nothing fancy, just enough consistency that their kids know what to expect throughout the day. 3. are intentional with screen time. less than an hour a day and only calming or low-stim things like a pbs kids show or the pok pok app. 4. get outside every single day. a walk around the neighborhood, the backyard, the park. fresh air and movement really do change everyone’s mood. 5. don’t expect their toddlers to regulate emotions they haven’t learned how to regulate themselves. they stay calm when they can, repair when they can’t, and remember that connection usually works better than control. even small shifts toward connection and consistency can make a huge difference over time. #toddlerlife #motherhood #momlife #pokpokpartner #relatablemom
As someone who has worked with toddlers in many different capacities over the last 16 years, you couldn’t be more wrong.

My husbands cousin is a single mom who works from home and just lets her toddler do whatever she wants. Her toddler is a brat who can't sit still and knocks over things, and i'm 100% sure it's because she spends all her time stating at a laptop and not teaching her kid how to behave. It's fully her fault.

Screen time should be way less than an hour a day and not every day. Keep it to the weekends and special occasions

Number 2 is crazy. Nomatter how much you plan a day out you can never predict the future. You can have this plan than boom life throws a rotten apple at you. As kids grow they discover themselves and personalities day by day.

Nah mine is actually just feral. 🤣🤣 Everyone has their own personality. Not all toddlers are calm individuals regardless.
