These children were so callous and insensitive. I understand they wanted a father’s love, but I just couldn’t overlook their mother’s sacrifices. She raised three children alone for 20 years while their father was gone. His explanation doesn’t erase her pain. The courtroom scene hurt me the most. After praising their mother for everything she sacrificed, they still chose their father. I wish they had chosen their mother first, then later helped her understand that they wanted their father back. She might not have accepted it immediately, but I believe she would have come around because she genuinely loved her children. And Samson saying she was adamant because she didn’t agree with him… did he really expect her to just warm up to him after disappearing for 20 years? Things like this take time and patience. You don’t disappear for 20 years and come back expecting a welcome party. The only part I didn’t support was the mother assaulting Samson everywhere he went.
