I did this in college. I wrote some code for an assignment, submitted it and never looked it again. However, I had to drop and retake the class the next semester, so I had this assignment again. The professor allowed me to resubmit the same code without it being flagged as plagiarism. Cool right? Except, I wrote one function that was absolutely wild and made no sense, and the comment just said "hey, you know exactly how this works, trust me" 😭😭😭 so this is why I urge my student coders to write useful comments.

Not a programmer. a therapist, working for a nonprofit. and yet, somehow part of my job became coding the database we use for everything. Last time I was formally educated on this stuff was 8th grade. Guy before me was a research guy who was only slightly more well educated on it. His code is a lot of this and and has been breaking since he left. We are living on duct tape and good vibes.
