I’m so glad this convo is happening more. My family are indigenous black people. My great grandmother lived to be 104. They claimed Cherokee as well but I did more research and probably not that tribe but definitely Indian. They are from tunica Mississippi and there’s the tunica-biloxi tribe and other possible tribes in that area.
