You could 100% glue on a blackout liner on the backside and have blackout Roman shades which cost an insane amount!!

I Wonder if I could get this to work with blinds that hang with tension type rods? I love your idea! I just dont want to drill into my trim. I have 8 windows in my livingroom alone but I cringe at the thought of all those holes.

Did you have any problem keeping your blinds completely spread out without it bouncing back together lol like mine won’t stay freaking open

So, how do you keep them clean? Which fabric would work best to keep dust from building up? Or dog hair? I have huskies, so it is a constant struggle 🤣

Could you put another piece of fabric on the back so it looks nice on the other side? Would the blind still work? Great idea. You could switch out for holidays.

What kind of blinds did you use? I can’t find any without the string to pull up and down 😅

I’m pretty much gonna steal this entire thing, including going to target and buying that shower curtain.

Can you double side it?

You can even cover both sides, you would place another piece of fabric at the back after glueing the first piece to the front. When turning it over place the second piece of fabric on glue at the center all the way down and then fold the first piece over like you did. What this does is not show so much light through the fabric.
This is a great idea as I wanted Roman shades but the cost OMG I love this idea. And my tip is just in case you want to do another one and need the shade not show in so much light like maybe a bedroom where we like things a bit darker.

I feel like the hot glue is going to look lumpy under the fabric . How do you avoid that
