As a former early childhood education teacher for a Montessori school. They teach you to 1. Be calm 2. Get on there level 3. Talk low 4. Get them to stop crying 5. Listen to them 6. Correct behavior if needed with a conversation he did amazing

PROOF that you don't have to yell at kids to resolve problems. You just have to communicate with them lovingly and teach them healthy communication and coping skills instead of saying, "Stop crying, or I'll give you something to cry about."

This is how we talk to our Littles in a Montessori preschool. We get down on their level and talk rather than standing over them raising our voices. If you need to bring the temperature down it’s up to you, the adult, to turn down the thermostat
