@subtleskills: One of the things I'm most grateful for about becoming a speaker is the people it's brought into my life. Yesterday I had the chance to stop by the Next Level Event in Dallas. If you've followed me for a while, you know I make it to as many Movements events as I can whenever I'm in town. Billy and Tomas consistently bring together an incredible community and some of the best speakers in the business. This time they brought back Rene Rodriguez. I first met Rene back in 2021 when he spoke to a mastermind I was part of. I immediately connected with his style, his authenticity, and the way he teaches. Since then I've:
• Read and reread his book.
• Attended his two-day Amplifii Intensive.
• Been to his annual event multiple times.
• Joined several of his programs.
• Jumped on as many virtual trainings as I could. What's been really special is watching that journey come full circle. Over the past few years, we've had the opportunity to share stages together. I've even had the privilege, and challenge, of following him as a speaker. If you know Rene, you know that's no easy act to follow. But no matter how many stages we've shared, every conversation we have leaves me with a new perspective. He's been an unofficial mentor in so many ways, not just through his content, but through his generosity, his curiosity, and the way he invests in people. One of the greatest gifts of this industry isn't the stages. It's the relationships. To Billy and Tomas, thank you for continuing to create spaces where people can learn, connect, and grow. And to Rene, thank you for setting such a high standard, for always being generous with your time, and for inspiring me to keep raising my own bar. If you don't know who Rene Rodriguez is yet, do yourself a favor and change that. #Leadership #Communication #PublicSpeaking #Gratitude
