that’s not the only reason why! you need to report on how the amount of rain coming down overwhelms our drainage system because of the climate emergency! Queens and NYC drainage system is designed to handle a maximum rainfall capacity of 1.5 to 1.75 inches per hour. rainfall rate exceeding 2 inches per hour overwhelms the our sewer network and causes street flooding and backups. DO BETTER REPORTING

If you know it floods make arrangements or fix the problem I have shelves and loft in my garage it can flood all it wants nothing gets damaged but I fixed the sewer problem that caused it about 30 years ago

Emma, you are wrong in your reporting. The flash flooding is when water exceeding the drains system. The leaves are not a main culprit to flooding, but caused my running water pushing the street dirt to the drain. Also flushing is consider low land, which is likely to flood. Stop creating false narrative

But it’s not just the leaves and garbage! The sewer says ten can only handle 1.75 in an hour and we are getting 2 plus inches an hour.

ummm no..please get it right. people showed water gushing out of toilets. thats sewage water. not inches of rain water. one blocked water drain didnt flood a street. all that brown stuff left on the street is human feces.
