Just do the 6ozs! My daughter would do this when she was around that age, if you go ahead and do 8ozs and he doesn’t drink it all it’ll be a waste of formula because babies won’t drink more than what they need, my daughter stuck with 6ozs for a while, we didn’t have to up to 8ozs until she was 7-8 months old. Every baby is different! But I would definitely just stick to six ozs since that’s what he’s currently drinking, if it was breast milk I’d definitely say you could go ahead and try to do 8ozs because with my newborn who’s breastfeed, we fix a full 4ozs bottle, whatever she doesn’t drink were able to feed her on her next feeding because breast milk stays good room temp for 4 hours and she eats every 2 hours.
