They were found wandering the streets together, likely after someone dumped them and left them to fend for themselves. They’re just babies. With their floppy hound ears, tiny little bodies, and sweet personalities, they should be learning what it feels like to be safe and loved, not spending their days on a wet concrete floor in a loud shelter. Puppies this young have weak immune systems, making them especially vulnerable to illness in a shelter environment. Every extra day they spend there puts them at greater risk. The shelter is also filling rapidly, and dogs are only getting a few days to find homes before they can be euthanized for space. If you’re thinking about adopting, please remember that puppies are lifetime commitments. They require patience, training, socialization, exercise, regular vet care, monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention, and love for the next 10–15 years. Please think it through before bringing a puppy home. They deserve families who are committed to them for life.
