Work is also so much tolerable when you know you DONT have to. Maybe that’s just me. Once I got to the point I didn’t have to work anymore, I started looking at it way differently and something I wanted to do. Nonetheless, he seems like a great guy and Chick-fil-A is lucky to have him.

My dad retired at 62. In his 70’s he too got bored and got a job at his favorite Chinese buffet. Everyone there barely spoke English, but he loved everyone there, and they loved him. He worked there until they went out of business. He absolutely didn’t need the money, he just worked on call for 30 years and worked 70+ hours a week and just needed something to do.

If he had retired and just done nothing, he would’ve died long ago. My grandma retired in her 70’s but she kept busy volunteering at the senior center and always doing something. She lived to her early 90’s and she was mentally sharp up until she had a bad fall and was unable to recover.
