We did this in the 80s and it was all the rage. Everyone was “getting their colours done.” All based on the book Colour Me Beautiful, don’t remember the author. It was bang on. This stylist may have already done the big educational presentation and this is the final wrap-up that each attendee gets. Hence the reason it seems rushed. They are already up to speed with the four colour palettes, or “seasons” and are narrowing it down to the cool winter palette.

I don’t mean it in a bad way but you could let the drape a little longer for your client to see what it does to her face. It seems like everyone in the back sees it because they have more distance but it seems that she doesn’t have the time to process it… and she is the one wearing her skin. Again maybe I am completely in the wrong and she totally got it. It’s just an observation.

Wait wait wait. I feel like cool winter colors make her features very sharp. Maybe technically it’s correct, but shouldn’t color analysts also focus on someone’s features? She looks younger and softer in blush tones and even some pastels!
