How do I use the softener. I put the decals in a water sponge and add the setter to the, then slide the decal on to the kit. should I dab the softener on the decal while its on the sponge?

microset is acetic acid (vinegar) I've been using household white vinegar for @25 years after spilling a bottle of microset with excellent results. lifetime supply for 99 cents

I should’ve bought these before I water decaled two kits and both have either had their decals fall off or ripped 😭
