@yzr_vv: Minjeong was the CEO of the largest company she had built on her own at such a young age. Minjeong wasn't fearsome, cold, or ruthless—she was simply strict when it came to work. She expected more than just your best effort. She expected everything to be flawless. Minjeong was excellent at her job; no mess, no complaints from the board members—only applause and compliments. But instead of staying at her company, Minjeong spent her time at one specific cafe where Karina worked as a barista. She specifically asked for Karina to make her coffee. Only her. "Can I get your number now?" "No." "How about I take you out on a date after your shift?" "No, thanks." "You look beautiful, by the way." Minjeong winked. "Stop disturbing me." — Every time Minjeong arrived at the cafe, Karina would instantly act uninterested around the CEO. "Hi, pretty!" "No." "Sungit." "Pangit." "Me?!?" — Months passed, but Minjeong didn't give up on pursuing her. "I don't get it—you don't have a boyfriend, but you won't let me be your girlfriend. I mean, to be fair, I'm beautiful, smart, kind... everything you could ask for." "I just don't do relationships, that's all." "That's a shame, but we can still work on that." — It was a Sunday when Minjeong went to the usual cafe, ordering her usual drink that Karina always made. "Feel ko crush mo ako," Minjeong said while waiting for her drink at the counter. "Tama na sa kape." Minjeong looked around. "Solo ka today? Maraming tao pag Sunday, right? Tulungan na kita." "Trabaho mo mga papel, sakin kape. Oh sige, paano?" "Teach me." Karina looked at her in confusion. "Why?" "So you'll have someone to share your tiredness with." Karina didn't feel butterflies like others did; instead, she felt warm and comforted. She smiled to herself. "Okay." Minjeong drank her coffee quickly as Karina taught her what to do. She assigned Minjeong to the counter—accepting payments and taking orders—while Karina prepared the drinks and food. "Got it, boss madam!" Minjeong saluted. Karina gave her a small, faint smile. Minjeong gasped. "Oh my God! Did you just smile at me?!" "Excuse me..." Minjeong immediately snapped to attend to the customer. "You're too stupid for a CEO." Karina mumbled as she walked towards the coffee machines. The entire day was fun for Minjeong that she completely forgot she had a company to run. Some customers tried to ask for her number. Others complimented her. And Karina would just glare at them silently. Minjeong noticed it. Of course she did. "I have a girlfriend." The girl apologized and left in embarrassment. Karina, on the other hand, was shocked. Girlfriend? Who? Whatever. It was 5:00 PM when Karina closed the cafe. Minjeong waited outside patiently, stretching her back. "Am I getting old to have this back pain?" "You can go home now," Karina said, searching for something in her tote bag. "I'll give you a ride." "And why?" "Because I'm courting you." Minjeong tilted her head. "Did I agree to that?" Karina crossed her arms. "I'm not asking you, I'm just informing you, boss madam." "But you said earlier that you had a... girlfriend." Minjeong blinked. Once. Twice. Then laughed. "What's so funny?" Karina furrowed her brows. "It depends." Minjeong leaned closer. Karina held her breath for a second. "On what?" "If you're ready to be my girlfriend." Karina smacked her arm and walked away. "I hate you so much!" She shouted. #winrinaau #aespa continuation sa comsec ( ◜‿◝ )

The next morning, Minjeong showed up looking different. Sluggish. Eyes heavy. Wearing a jacket even though it was hot. Karina noticed her and watched her silently. "...One hot americano, please..." Minjeong sat at the counter, resting her head. Karina faked a cough. "You look like you went through a battle." Minjeong hummed. "Are you sick?" "A little, I can manage." "Forget it. Let's go." Karina secretly asked her manager for a day off. The manager agreed without hesitation. Karina held Minjeong by the waist to support her—she looked like she could collapse any moment. "Why did you come here knowing you're sick? Are you crazy?" "...I wanted to see you." "You could've seen me once you recovered, idiot." Karina helped Minjeong carefully into the passenger seat. She grabbed a blanket from the back and covered her. "Are you warm? Should I turn off the aircon?" She asked, worried. "It's fine... This blanket smells like you. Can I keep it?" She asked weakly. Karina sighed. "Do whatever makes you feel better." "Oh? So can I kiss you—" Minjeong felt like her soul left her body when Karina kissed her on the cheek. "Now shut up and just rest." Karina drove fast but safely, checking on Minjeong from time to time, placing a hand on her forehead. Her fever was high. She cursed under her breath. Karina brought Minjeong to her condo, carrying her inside so she could rest peacefully. She laid her on the bed, then went to the kitchen to make soup. Once done, she got medicine and returned to the room. She woke Minjeong up gently. Minjeong sat up weakly. Karina sighed and helped her. "Ahh," Karina said, holding a spoonful of soup. Minjeong felt embarrassed. "I-I can manage..." Karina glared at her. "You clearly can't. Now open your mouth and just do as I say." Minjeong shivered, finding it attractive. "Now, your medicine. Here." Minjeong drank the medicine while Karina held the glass of water for her. "Sleep."
