The hate is absolutely insanity… first off, it’s a book. You can CHOOSE to read it OR say this is not my taste and never read it… yet, here we are, posting and putting down other woman who decided this is a book they’d enjoy… I don’t understand. I can’t understand the hypocrisy from woman… how do we as a society say “woman support woman” to “if you’re a woman reading this book, you’re promoting sexual assault and I’m gonna hurt you for it” absolutely wild… we gotta do better ladies.

Gets upset about a book being made into a movie, yet they likely watch GOT and HOTD which is just as graphic and violent and oh yes based around books too 🙈 I mean victims won’t go see the movie let alone read the book if it’s triggering for them, they will self preserve as they should because it’s horrible what they went through. But the book was given the ok, the movie was given the ok, now people are making drama out of it

This isn’t a situation of “don’t watch it” or “It’s just fiction” it’s the fact that there is little to no media literacy left. If this releases in theaters I could only imagine how many men would take this as a “green light” for this behavior/assault to be seen as okay. Most people couldn’t even understand the messaging of Obsession that was blatantly thrown in their face, and now they’re going to have something like this to spur them on. I’m horrified for what they will take out of that movie.
