I think the warscythe moves it too far up, the normal scythe too far horizontal, id raise the blade almost half way to the height of the war one, to allow for deep penetrarion strikes.

because it's referred to as the grim REAPer, the definition of reap is to harvest, it's the grim harvester, harvesting the dead souls and delivering them to the afterlife, the sythe isn't what kills you, it's simply harvesting your soul

I tend to get the thought that since its a HARVESTER scythe its meant for the Reapers to HARVEST souls

in those souls games reapers have a sweetspot mechanic where if the handle hits the enemy first then you'll deal maybe 30% of the dmg but if the blade hits then you deal full damage. u can see that sweetspot by using greases or resins or spells to imbue the scythes
