A Heart Sustained by the Remembrance of Allāh It was well known among those who accompanied the great Gnostic, Zindah Pīr Ṣāḥib of Ghamkol Sharīf, that he would spend the entire night in worship, not sleeping, but reciting the Qur’ān, sending abundant Ṣalawāt upon Rasūlullāh ﷺ, and remembering Allāh. Muftī Akbar Zīrak said, “By Allāh, throughout the night the Shaykh would repeatedly recite, Allāhumma ṣalli ’alā Muḥammad, followed by Sūrah Quraysh.” This is the way of the Awliyā’, for Allāh says, “Surely, in the remembrance of Allāh do hearts find rest.” (Qur’ān 13:28). The Prophet ﷺ also said, “The likeness of the one who remembers his Lord and the one who does not is like the living and the dead.” (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī). Over a decade ago, a friend of mine from the UK was diagnosed with stomach cancer. He travelled to Pakistan to seek the Shaykh’s du’ā. The Shaykh prayed for his cure and told him to eat from the food prepared in the Zāwiyah while the Qur’ān, Dhikr, and Ṣalawāt were being recited, with the intention of seeking healing from Allāh. By Allāh, when he returned to the UK, the doctors found no trace of the cancer. Allāh says, “We send down of the Qur’ān that which is a healing and a mercy for the believers.” (Qur’ān 17:82). It was also known that the Shaykh would recite no fewer than ten thousand Ṣalawāt each day, and every meal in his Zāwiyah was prepared in a state of wuḍū’, accompanied by the recitation of the Qur’ān, abundant Lā ilāha illā Allāh, and Ṣalawāt upon the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. May Allāh have mercy upon him, elevate his rank, and grant us hearts that are constantly alive with His remembrance. #fypシ゚viral🖤tiktok #muslimtiktok #islamictiktok #salawat #birmingham
