Jack was an ordinary transfer student who had just moved to a new city. As his train arrived exactly at midnight, he noticed something strange. The streets were empty. The sky was green. Every person outside had mysteriously transformed into a coffin. Instead of asking questions, Jack simply picked up his suitcase and kept walking.
On his way to the dormitory, Jack met a mysterious girl named Jenny. Jenny was calm, beautiful, and for some reason pointing a gun directly at her own head. Before Jack could ask if everything was okay, horrible shadow monsters emerged from the darkness. Jenny told Jack to run, but gave absolutely no explanation, because anime characters legally cannot explain anything until episode three.
The two barely escaped and reached the dormitory, where everyone acted as if giant monsters attacking the building at midnight was a perfectly normal occurrence. Jack stood there with his usual emotionless expression, making everyone wonder whether he was incredibly brave or simply buffering.
As the Shadows broke through the entrance, Jenny threw Jack a strange gun-like device called an Evoker. She shouted that it was the only way to survive. Most people would hesitate before pulling the trigger on a gun pointed at their own head. Jack had known these people for less than fifteen minutes, so he decided he had nothing to lose.
The moment Jack pulled the trigger, a gigantic blue warrior burst from his body and effortlessly destroyed the monster. Everyone in the room stared at him in disbelief. Jack, meanwhile, looked mildly inconvenienced, as if summoning supernatural beings before bedtime was just another item on his to-do list.
Little did Jack know, this was only the beginning of his new high school life. Between fighting monsters at midnight, making questionable friends, and somehow still attending classes every morning, Jack was about to discover that being a teenager was the least stressful part of his day.
