@don_cabbage: A friend of mine built an absolutely insane vacation house. Going back over 20 years— right after graduating high school, I was studying cooking in Florence, Italy. There were 16 of us international students, and Kei-chan—the owner of this house—was one of them. Same apartment, same kitchen. We’d drink wine, laugh, and make peperoncino late into the night, over and over again. And now, I’m making peperoncino with cabbage, and Kei-chan has built an incredible life with her husband—complete with this unbelievable house. But it’s funny… no matter how much the place changes, what we do in the kitchen is exactly the same. Drink, laugh, cook, and eat. Maybe that’s the most fun there is. Maybe this—playing in the kitchen like this forever— is what true happiness means to me. And here it is— a low-carb villa-style hot dog 🥬
