Halal: If the animal is stressed you must leave it to rest. Water must be offered. The animal must be in a calm state. Another animal cannot see another animal being slaughtered. The animal must not see the knife. Knife must be be sharp so animal feels no pain, jugular veins and carotid arteries are severed for animal to pass quickly and consciously is lost within nano second. The blood is ejected rapidly as not permitted to drink blood and also the biology of the blood being stagnant in the animal leads to rapid microbacterial growth etc. Most of all we consciously before slaughter gods name is spoken to allow us to be conscious and respectful and show gratefulness to gods creation it’s the most thoughtful clear guidance to how to treat an animal.
