To respond to your caption, it’s not sad at all. It’s literally the reality everywhere else. Private companies are incentivized to serve their consumers to profit, no service, no money. Politicians don’t; they get our money through taxation, with the money constantly flowing into their pockets. Notice how most of the rich countries have their private companies taking the lead? Just as long as it isn’t oligarchic. An example is the Villar family. They use the government to propagate their business interests. That’s why we should still be wary of the GOOD private companies and the bad.
