34 years old. Walked on to a pitch having just got chamged. Hadn't even done a warm up yet. A loose ball rolls over to me. In one fluid movement i trap it with my left foot shouting, "Ooh. Groins a bit tight today boys..." I then pea roll a 6ft pass with my right foot and keel over. I tore a 6mm hole in my groin. Haven't kicked a ball in anger since, and turn 41 tomorrow.

Took a mate to the local pitch to ping a few balls and do some crossbar challenges and whatnot, only to realise our knees and ankles were apparently made of wet cheese after going a number of years without kicking a ball. A truly humbling trip.
