Goddy :
govt uses a "poverty" calculation based upon 70% of money left after housing costs against average salary.
this works out to about £700 after housing to spend on food etc.
not sure this is true poverty

Perhaps it’s time to look back how are parents and grandparents coped with life after the war and bring children up in the 60’s ,no moaning,no McDonalds meals made from scratch you ate what was on the plate ,and are mums were some of the strongest people on the planet ,some waved their dads off to war never seeing them again became mothers themselves, then they cooked ,they cleaned ,they made clothes from pattens on sewing machines, and never said I’ve sorry I can’t cope with my mental health ,well that the story of my mum

SpinalTap :
this current cost of crisis is only just the beginning of more pain to come. It doesn’t matter who’s in charge, your plight will only get worse, sadly. I would love to tell you a solution, but there’s nothing me or anyone else can tell you to make you feel better. Don’t believe any politicians promises, they’re to blame for this situation.
