Omg I can’t believe that..I had UC years ago and I had to have my whole bowel removed (large colon) due to it perforating, I had 4 surgeries over 2 years and I nearly lost my life, I too was only 30 years old with a young child. I had an ileostomy for 1.5 years and then I had an lleo anal J pouch performed with my small intestine. It took me years to recover and rebuild myself and my pouch comes with its issues to this day but as you say it saved our lives. I am scared and I do wear bikinis but if took me years to feel ok with that. I’d love to work with some of the charities and have completed walks etc in aid of C&C trusts. Also my name is Sheral pronounced She…ral. Such a small world 🙏🥰🥰💕

I've lost hubby now but he had all his intestine removed just cms left so he had tpn and the stoma was a nightmare pumped out 4 litres of liquid frequently story is far too long, he still got around, did his best, we joked it was my stoma he gave it to me. im a nurse so it wasn't a hardship much harder for him he was 1 of about 40 pple in the uk with virtually no bowel. well done you 💖💖
