yt ladies: the Palmer's lotions and body oil are AMAZING. you can buy travel sizes at Dollar Tree if you just want to try them out before you commit to a full size. I use the body oil when I'm still damp from the shower, and then the firming lotion on top of that. if I want to smell extra fancy I add the vanilla body cream. I take my moisturizer very seriously now.

My parents never taught my brother and I how to care for our skin. We both have reddish hair and the mc1r gene is notorious for making skin drier. I remember in middle and high school there was this angel in my gym class that helped me with my strawberry skin and learning about skin care.

Dove? I use an antibacterial soap. Anyway, do Black women use Amlactin? Cover your body in a layer of Amlactin then a coat of that Cerave ointment or Aveeno Skin Relief Repair Cream and you will be as smooth as a baby dolphin.

When I was younger I was working with this guy and he needed lotion and I (the singular white girl) was the only one that had lotion on me. He said "why's the white girl the only one with lotion" and I said "white people get ashy too you just can't see it" and he laughed at me. Wish I still had his number so I could send this to him 🤣

Most dove products are actually “Beaty bars,” not soap bc of the amount of rich oils for moisturizing that havent been turned into soap, so if you need something more intense to prevent body acne or your getting DIRTY dirty, you’re gonna want a real soap made with lye and fats

👏👏👏 Yes on the washcloth! I once bought some fancy washcloths. They were sooo soft it felt disgusting to wash with them, there was no friction at all. I donated the unused ones. I agree on the rough rag to scrub. If you’re skipping this step you’re not getting clean.

I use a clean wash rag every shower. I use the same face wash. I use oil of olay with shea butter body wash and then I use palmers cocoa butter with jergens lotion with shea butter
