The Star Wars prequels. At first, I found them politically naive, or I was just angry at how the Jedi and their blindness were portrayed. But as time goes on, I increasingly see that Lucas did an exceptionally good job depicting the collapse of the old system through the blindness of the political elite.

I think one reason The Mist keeps getting better is it pops off pretty much Immediately. So even for a casual watch ur never waiting for it to pick up. Kinda like the first Jeepers Creepers

Children of Men was NEVER. a seven out of ten, but LORD has it got INCREASINGLY relevant. The first time I watched it I was in awe of the directing, the one-shots, the set pieces, THE PERFORMANCES. Then I didn't watch it for a good few years. Now I've watched it three or four times in the last two years and it feels IMMINENT. Bexhill feels scarily close. I still weep for Jasper.

Tangled. When it came out, I was much younger, and just thought it was a cute Disney movie. Years later, knowing and recognising mother gothel’s behaviour as coercive control and narcissism, it makes her a much more frightening as a villain, because she could be anyone’s abuser - whether a parent, partner, boss, or other authority figure.

Pacific Rim. A friend hyped it up a lot and when I finally watch it I thought, "Eh. It's alright. " Over the years I have watched again several times and found I have enjoyed it more each time.
