It should be that you’ve lived AND (wait for it) WORKED in and for Australia minimum 5 years before you can vote or even access social security. And the long term Centrelink benefactors (ie unemployed for longer than 1 year) should not vote, there should be specific portfolios to help actual pensioners - those who are elderly and have stopped working (not generational pensioners of working ages- with a cap on pensions for this group)
