Replying to @Erin ❣️ i get asked this all the time & yes! being so close with so many TIFs & some TIMs is a huge part of why i’m a gender abolitionist. i see struggling people who survived horrific childhoods suffer further due to the sexist, bioessentialist gender roles pushed upon them. you need to be able to handle hearing differing opinions. if you can’t, how do you have conversations w them? how do you find out what they believe & why? how do you get an understanding of their beliefs? putting yourself in an echo chamber may seem nice, everyone agrees & nobody argues, how nice! but how mind numbingly boring!!! if you’re truly passionate about your beliefs, you should be trying to hear out those who disagree with you. figure out what they disagree with-you have to ask people, don’t assume or take someone elses word, and don’t think any group is a monolith- and WHY they disagree. it’s quite absurd to claim you despise a certain group of people & then demonstrate you know nothing about them (for example, TRAs calling radfems “conservatives”) when i began to really look into gender, i wanted to learn as much as i possibly could about it. i read and read and read and read and researched and read some more, trying to consume all the information available to me, because you must be familiar with something to be able to form an opinion on it. how can you defend your beliefs if you can’t (or aren’t willing to) answer simple questions about your beliefs? nor engage in good faith debates?? arguing/debating in good faith is one of the best things you can do for yourself. TRAs & the trans community seem to treat ANY arguing/disagreement as inherently bad, harmful, and hurting them. be incredibly wary of any group that doesn’t encourage questions or debate. just like most organized religions, gender ideologues operate like a cult. no questioning- it shows a lack of faith. you must believe whatever you’re told and if not you’re an infidel/transphobic/not an ally. if questions are discouraged, it’s often because the ideology and/or its foundation requires lies. so yes, i’ve met lots of trans ppl, i know lots of trans ppl, & i speak to a decent amount of trans identifying people. my focus is women & girls && our rights and it ALWAYS will be. i know the TRAs will never stop assuming we’re all bigots & calling us transphobes because they need their thought terminating cliché. i’m still going to fight for women & girls. i don’t hayte trans identifying ppl based solely on that. i treat everyone as individuals. i have beliefs i’ll stand & die by, so people disagreeing with me doesn’t rattle me or upset me or shift my world. it’s just life. gals, if you find yourself reading this & realizing you’re in an echo chamber, you should deep dive into radical feminism. we’d love to have you🫂💜💚💜💚 #radicalfeminism #womensrightsarehumanrights #genderabolitionist #6B #merf
