Fun fact: In the film, the Backrooms creates entities based on the people trapped within it. Until the table scene, Clark blamed everyone but himself for the problems in his life. As a result, his entity viewed everyone except Clark as the enemy and attacked them accordingly. That changed after the therapist confronted Clark at the table, forcing him to acknowledge that he was the source of many of his own problems. Once Clark accepted this truth, his entity’s perception changed as well. It no longer saw only others as the enemy—it saw everyone, including Clark. That’s why the entity attacks Clark during this scene when it never did before Although Clark was a bad person, what made him a flawed person is what made him relatable to so many people. When the burden of the real world comes to push and shove Clark finds solace within an entirely different dimension that makes no sense. And the fact that it doesn’t make sense makes it so comforting to Clark. When faced with the decision of returning to his former life or staying in a place entirely abnormal. He chooses to stay in a place that doesn’t change, a place where he doesn’t need to change. Sometimes some people feel to distant from a world that’s ever changing when they themselves can not or wish not to. And I think that’s the beauty of Clark and how well he displays a piece of mental health that is not talked about oftenx

a lot of people never understood that this movie is basically a psychological horror film rather than the movie mostly being scary to me it made me feel sad asf like if I was Clark in my opinion this movie was so well written again in my opinion

His character was immersive that it represents who I am—he felt like he's a lost cause, he can't be fixed. in consequence, he'd just distance and push people away as either defence mechanism or coping mechanism to deal what he's been through. I hate how I relate to him, I have a love-hate relationship with his character

this movie actually changed my whole outlook on life. the way the negativity you surround yourself with out of comfort can literally and figuratively eat you alive. pushed me to do so so so much better in life with the way i see things and the way i treat others
