Nobody told me, nobody recommended me, nobody influenced me. My step dad gave me his old ps4 in May 2025 with a few games and RDR2 just happened to be one. I decided to play it to get used to the controller and ended up getting so emotionally invested, Ive played it 19 times now and it means everything to me. However, I recommend the game to one of my friends. She played it, loved it, and we bonded over it for so long. I see myself in Arthur, she was exactly like Mary-Beth and Sadie. We had other things sure, but rdr2 was OURS. A few weeks ago she passed away, the cause is unknown but I believe it was by her own hand. I never got to say goodbye, I will never get to say goodbye and I miss her like hell every day, it's the first time Ive ever lost a person to death. I was just replaying rdr2 and was at the point of Sean's party in chapter 2. A cute, timid Mary-Beth says "Will you dance with me, Arthur?" and all I could hear was HER. Of course I agree to dance with her but as we dance it only hurts me more, it's silly but it felt like I got to interact with her one last time. She was my angel, a kind and caring and perfect angel. It hurts to play RDR2 now and witness things I know we would laugh over together or see videos we would send to each other, but it's one of the only things I have left of her. I miss her so much
