It wasn’t revenge but rather the non-disappearance of the cycle of hatred. It literally happened happened hundreds of years later (if u recall that scene with mikasa, armin and eren later in the future, they didn’t even believe in titans only 100 years later and thought of them as myths - thus how could that hatred survive 100 years of it was merely deemed as rumours). Another thing is that only Shiganshina is shown to have been bombed, rather than the whole of paradis meaning that there is as much proof that paradis remains as if it was completely destroyed. 2 cities were nuked in Japan yet it thrives to this day… just a thought
