Disappointing, I think the actors deserved better. Feels too much like a vertical short you’d see on tiktok, not like a long form. The production, editing, script, even sound editing falls flat for me. I usually don’t even start shows while they are airing but was sooo curious about this one 🥲

After watching the first 5 episodes..I can honestly say I’m a bit disappointed.The cinematography, visuals and the leads are undeniably beautiful, esp Zhang Linghe but visuals alone can’t carry a romance drama. For me..the emotional buildup feels rushed, which makes it difficult to connect with the characters and invest in their relationship.The production also doesn’t feel as cinematic as I expected from such a highly anticipated project. Some scenes resemble a short drama rather than a premium production.The chemistry between the leads hasn’t fully convinced me yet...not because they’re bad actors, but because the story hasn’t given their relationship enough time to develop naturally.That said, I don’t think the drama is bad.It’s still early and I genuinely hope it improves in the upcoming episodes because the cast deserves a stronger script and better execution.I’m hoping the later episodes will prove me wrong.

Masterpiece I repeated is just masterpiece it’s only 5 episodes and I am obssesed can’t wait for the next😭 he is so possessive over her I just can’t love them both and the chemistry is amazing didn’t expected to like it so much honestly because I am not a fan of 70-80 things but here we go

Finished ep1-5 and its so good. Zhang Linghe never disappoint, his acting is amazing. The cinematography, the production, casting, storyline and visuals are great.
