I even make my bed at a hotel and I know it’s a useless thing to do since they will end up making it again properly to standard of the hotel but I just grew up with that rule instilled in me to wake up and make my bed so I can’t ever invision someone else making it😭

I disagree to an extend. You can leave a mess but in a reasonable state. Put dishes in the sink. Not all over the house. Leave things where they belong in order for em to find and clean.

Someone explained to me, particularly in restaurants even, fast food restaurants that sometimes by thinking that you are helping and cleaning up after yourself, the person who is meant to do that may get into trouble. Employers find weird reasons to offload workers so really sometimes it really is “their job.” Even at my res I once made a mess in the DH and insisted on cleaning but the staff refused. I think the best response is try not be messy jn the first place so their work is easier.
