🚨 Handling the late one 👇 When someone is consistently late for work it can be really frustrating as a manager especially if it’s having a wider impact. There can be so many reasons why people are late, sometimes it can be a sign that something is wrong. I’d always recommend approaching the conversation in a supportive and curious way. Give them the benefit of the doubt and seek to understand the reason. Share what you’ve noticed and check in: “I’ve noticed you’ve been late for work most days over the last few weeks so I wanted to check in and make sure everything is ok?” Ask them if there is any help or support they need from you. If they continue to be late. Raise it again and let them know you’re concerned. “We spoke a few weeks ago about you being on time for work and I’m noticing you’re still late most days. Is something going on, I’m concerned about you?” Let them know you’re available to talk if anything is going on. Then also communicate the importance of them being on time and WHY. 📌 Please be mindful that the approach shown in this video will not fit every situation so always use your own judgement and adapt it to suit your own circumstances. You’ve got this! 💬 Have you ever been on either side of this conversation? Share your experiences in the comments so we can learn from each other 😊 ✈️ Share with someone you think this could help 🚀 Follow for more tips on handling tricky people and situations at work #worktips #leadershipdevelopment #corporatelife #emotionalintelligence #communicationskills #difficultconversations #manager #managertips #managingpeople
