I lost my husband of 25 years to mental illness. He was smoking weed and it caused him to get schizophrenia at 46 years old. He’s involuntarily committed now and it doesn’t look like he’ll be able to get out for a long time. I love him still I want the best for him, but I have to move on.

hes a fantastic person. I still believe we are meant to be. just not right now. I have some growing to do. I need to get over the accidental hurt he caused, heal myself, have a bit of fun, let my hair down a bit more and become someone different for my own good.

i love him, I always will. I can't let that go but I couldn't help him anymore. I had to let him go so I can walk forward in my life and Idk where I am going right now besides learning to live again as I have that chance now. he wanted me there and my life needed me to walk forward. I couldn't be spread so thin so I let him go so he can find someone who could be with him. I may be alone forever but as along I can see him smiling that's enough for me
