That’s just your own experience; it doesn’t always have to be that way. I have plenty of easygoing friends—people I knew for over 26 years before I even met my husband. They’ve gotten married in the meantime too, but we’ve remained friends and I still go out with them regularly. And I don't need attention from them in the way you're talking about!
