@the_country_eye: During the Ol Kalou party primaries, 8,259 people showed up for UDA. A few weeks later, the by-election arrived... and only 5,450 remembered where the polling station was. That's 2,809 supporters who apparently said, "We were here for the auditions, not the main show." Meanwhile, DCP moved from 23,833 participants in the nominations to nearly 11,600 MORE votes in the actual election. One party's supporters disappeared between nominations and election day. The other's multiplied. Politics is the only place where your warm-up crowd can be bigger than your main event.
