Ngl, I think it's because the game became too popular for a niche genre. When it first launched, the player base mostly consisted of otome fans, gacha players, and people who were familiar with fandom etiquette. As the game grew in popularity thanks to Sylus’s viral clips, it attracted normies. It became flooded with people who spread misinformation and rumors for clout. Some of them didn't even play the main story, yet they were heavily involved in fandom discourse and drama. Sometimes it felt like they spent more time arguing on X than actually playing the game. As for Infold, I think they simply capitalized on the rivalry between players who wanted their favorite LI's limited banner to top the charts as a show of spending power. So Infold neglected the main storyline, bond chapters, and quality-of-life improvements, choosing instead to focus on monetization through new banners, paid packs, and additional premium features. Honestly, with their current attitude, I'm starting to lose hope😿
