As someone who grew up in both states…I never understand the Texas hate. Californians constantly bring up Tex Mex as the Americanized Mexican food isn’t common in California. Hard shell taco/enchilada combo plates? Also Texas has significantly longer border with Mexico. Theres tons of authentic Mexican food and Mexican culture all over Texas.
