@dr_emilly: AI skincare analysis is everywhere, but can AI actually analyse your skin from a selfie? Not really. AI can help explain skincare ingredients and routine routines, but diagnosing your skin from one photo or even two, is a very different thing. Use it as a tool, not as your skincare expert. #aiskinanalysis #aiskinanalyzer #skinanalysis #skincareadvice #skintok
do i still need to put spf if i stay indoor the whole day?

Valuable information 🙌🏻🙏🏻 I’m so guilty!! And get down and out when chat gives me information that is depressing. I never thought about chat not being able to discern where I started from!!

Amen! I admittedly utilize AI to quickly gather information on ingredients and products for me to deep dive into it myself. In that respect, it’s saved me hours. However, it doesn’t eliminate the need for discernment and forming your own opinion based on what works for you. And it certainly doesn’t replace my derm or esthetician.

Brands have now paid Chat gpt to get “pay to play” spots on open AI. So you make a routine on AI and all L’Oreal brands will come up in the routine.

the issue I have with using AI is listening to the response with SO MUCH WEIGHT and not checking sources or any further fact checking. I still look at AI like it's a magic 8 ball that would shake for an answer in 6th grade. When did we stop checking sources? If we can't believe our news outlets, how can we believe AI so willingly?

Do you refer to those devise for skin analysis (like VISIA or Observ) as well? Probably they show somethings, but …. I’ll try and I might come back 😊

Another very important issue with AI it doesn't take into account health conditions and medication. People don't realize how important this is, so they don't mention it. Diabetic for example should not be doing harsh peels, lasers, microneedling or microdermabrasion. All of these seemingly innocent treatments can be fatal for a Diabetic. I see so many individuals doing DIY TCA peels, microdermabrasion and microneedling.

I used AI to create a routine based on advice from you and a few other people I find helpful. I still got a few recommendations from ai that were not appropriate at all for my skin. And I put in sooooo much information

Is this the same as those machines that scan your skin? I know to take it with a pinch of salt but what am I actually going to pay £75 for?

I've tested ai as a esthetician of 10yrs. They are wrong so much its scary. I correct it hoping to improve on the system.

I had a Opatra skin scan. I had everything wrong, looked 5 years older than my biological age and I needed $4200 dollars in skincare. Ugh…

AI told me I was ten years younger than I am. I DO NOT look ten years younger, sadly. It’s nowhere near sophisticated enough to analyse photos for skin care.

It can be a tool and give you ingredients to research but it shouldn’t be used as all knowing facts!
