Love the artistic examples but wouldn’t the glasses represent a form of voyuerism? And isn’t social media a larger story of the creator playing into the viewers need for voyuerism?

Love all these examples 🥰 it’s totally gross for sure when you are being filled with no consent. My two eldest daughters had this happen to them and put up on Instagram they asked the creator to take it down and he did. It’s about being respectful just ask.

I don’t believe this is true. I believe that the crime of using meta glass should not be put in the same context as a creative process of voyeurism the creative process continues to be questioned the role that women playing this has changed and coming forward or a stronger much more independent women who are able to talk about their experiences have to be written about in context to these ideas Tracey emin Sarah Lucas, Cindy Sherman, Nan Goldin, could not have made a comment on this very topic had it have not been for their predecessor like Frida KAHLO, Dora MAARE. The use of meta glasses is not been put into galleries but being hidden foreign onto the Internet onto the dark web it is not making an aesthetic judgement but merely capturing women from the shadows. This is not artistic practice.

For years, I’ve wondered how some of Sophie Calle’s actions (and resulting work) would be viewed had it come out today e.g. following/photographing a specific person, working as a housekeeper and photographing people’s things etc. And especially if done with these glasses. As you say, it’s really pushing how we’re already perceive some art projects
