@chichi.the.radiographer: 🩺 Did you know? Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) can often be seen on ultrasound! Polycystic Kidney Disease is an inherited condition where multiple fluid-filled cysts grow inside both kidneys. On ultrasound, the kidneys usually appear enlarged and filled with numerous cysts of different sizes, making the normal kidney tissue difficult to see. ⚠️ Symptoms may include high blood pressure, back or flank pain, blood in the urine, recurrent urinary tract infections, and gradually worsening kidney function. 💡 Early ultrasound screening can help detect PKD before serious complications develop especially if there’s a family history. ❤️ Follow @ChïChï the Radiographer for simple ultrasound and radiology lessons that could help you understand your health! #radiology #ultrasound #LearnOnTikTok #medicine #zambiantiktok🇿🇲
