IF A CEASEFIRE EXISTS… WHY DOES THE WAR KEEP GETTING BIGGER? Serious question. At what point do we stop calling something a ceasefire and start calling it what it is? Israel has expanded its offensive into Lebanon and seized the strategic Beaufort Castle, one of the most important military positions in southern Lebanon. Reports say this is the deepest Israeli incursion into Lebanon in more than 25 years. Meanwhile, both sides continue accusing each other of violating the ceasefire. (Reuters) Over a million people have reportedly been displaced. Thousands have been killed. And yet every new escalation is described as temporary and necessary—the operation that will finally bring security. (AP News) But here’s the question nobody seems to answer: If every military action creates the conditions for the next military action, when does the cycle actually end? Because from the outside looking in, it feels like the Middle East keeps getting promised peace while preparing for the next round of war. If a ceasefire can include more territory being seized, more people displaced, and more fighting, what exactly does the word “ceasefire” mean anymore? This just add more to the question: WHY DO SOME PEOPLE KEEP CALLING TRUMP THE ANTICHRIST? Serious question. Not whether you like him. Not whether you hate him. Why do some Christians keep making that comparison? Because it isn't really about red hats. It's not about political parties. And it's not about a single policy. The argument usually centers on something else: Loyalty. At what point does support become devotion? At what point does a political movement become so attached to a leader that criticism itself feels like betrayal? The Bible describes the Antichrist as a figure who gains extraordinary influence, commands allegiance, and persuades large numbers of people to follow him. Critics look at Trump's movement and see similarities. Supporters look at the same movement and see a strong leader being unfairly attacked. That's why the debate never ends. One side sees a warning sign. The other sees a political witch hunt. But here's the question that interests me: If a leader can do almost anything and millions of people will still defend him, is that evidence of great leadership... Or evidence of something else? Before you answer, remember this: The Bible doesn't just warn about false leaders. It also warns about followers who stop questioning them. So I'll ask again: At what point does loyalty become obedience?
