I saw someone in another comment section say that they’re also a music composer or what not and when your creating a song, you’re creating it from a feeling and trying to capture that feeling in the song. Which means if it really is a coincidence that they sound the same, that means both Jorge and Ludwig had the same feeling when thinking of Odysseus and were able to create just about the same exact melody from that feeling, which to me sounds pretty cool if that’s true!

It’s a motif created in 1830 called the dies irae. It’s typically to signify death and mortality. Jorge used it to show that Odysseus was seen as an icon despite just being a man wanting to return home. I yet have to watch the movie but from what I’ve seen and gathered from the song names, it’s used in the Odyssey movie whenever someone close to Odysseus dies, forcing him to remember the mortality of those he loves.
