I never read a physical copy. Always listen. I process listening faster than reading with my eyes, so for me it is the other way around.

I’m not the only one!? I could not figure why people loved this, and seriously thought I was losing my mind during the audiobook 😵💫

I really enjoying immersive reading for fantasy books. Almost every book I read, I follow along with the audio playing. That being said, i will not touch the realm of the elderlings audiobooks with a ten foot pole 😭 these are just books that have to be read with your eyes. It enhances the experience and makes it enjoyable

it's almost as if listening to an audiobook and not reading weren't the same thing 😬

Is it the narrator or …? I don’t audiobook very often but like to immersive sometimes. Was considering audio booking this series to catchup before diving into the Tawny Man trilogy. 😢

I didn’t mind the narrators for the first trilogy. But I HATED the narrator for the liveship traders trilogy. I probably would have liked it more if I actually read it 🥲

I listened to it, and could not understand why I was the only one who hated it. It was a struggle to get through.

For very involved books I just can't do the audio books. They have to be very easy going without being too involved in order for me to listen and not read.

Some books are okay for audio books and I listen to many I won’t list here…but Robin Hobb I will never. Reading her words with my eyeballs is such a decadent experience.

I’m on the rain wild chronicles now. Every book has a different narrator and none of them pronounce the names and places the same😭 driving me crazy

This is how I feel about the audiobook for Book of Azrael. The lady's voice is like nails on a chalkboard but I loved the book when I read it on kindle

I'm dying for them to re-record the series. I've been eyeball reading Liveship Traders for ages because the audio is insufferable and I don't have as much time to spend on eyeball reading these days.

The audiobook was awful. It made me DNF. If I can’t listen to a 16 book series then I’m out. Who’s got that kinda time to sit and read every single one of them. Robin hobb get better audios

I definitely hear what you’re saying! It’s definitely a style of writing that needs to be slowed down and enjoyed!

I loved the farseer audiobooks, i have the older Paul Boehmer Version and Loved both his voice and his pronunciation of some words, giving it a more authentic “old” times vibe. Moving on to ship of magic however I chose to “eyeball read” and I do not regret it for a second, other then having pain in my hands from holding that massive thing😆

I rather read physical books than listen to audiobooks in general, but I think I had the opposite experience with Project Hail Mary. I think I should've listened to the audiobook instead 🥲
