I think people who haven't seen the movie yet don't get it...this movie isn't meant to be literal. It is a fable, just like Homer's poem, it's meant to teach lessons and reveal universal truths. Helen is not a specific person, she's a concept; Agamemnon is not a historical king/general, he's an archetype. Odysseus is the soul of man, lost and tortured, looking for meaning and redemption. But people who haven't seen it or read it just think it's a simple adventure story, and are getting all caught up in "realism" and trivial details.
