sit, practice for 1hour, only learn the intro, get mad for not learning the whole song, relax for 2 mins, sit back and redo the intro 100 times until it sounds almost perfect, give up find a new piece just to learn only the hard part

Yea, but I’ve worked on a piece for half a year- only to finally realize that I’ll NEVER play it. Hard to give up after all those hours of work but sometimes you just need to face reality and come to grips with the fact that you’re not the pianist you thought you were.
